Beauceron Security has been named as one of nine start-ups selected from across the globe to participate in the Cyber London (CyLon) accelerator program.
“It’s an honour to be selected along with firms from the US, UK, Sweden and Germany for this highly competitive program,” said Beauceron CEO and co-founder David Shipley.
Members of the Beauceron team will be participating in an intensive program of training and workshops delivered by industry specialists and experienced entrepreneurs, as well as connections to CyLon’s unrivalled community of buyers, investors and advisors across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the US.
The program also provides an equity investment and a fully furnished office space.
At the end of the program, Beauceron and its fellow cohort companies will present their businesses to prospective customers, investors and partners at the CyLon Demo Day November.
“We had a chance to meet in-person in Fredericton with some of the CyLon team last fall thanks to connections made via CyberNB,” said Shipley. “Members of our leadership team had a chance to present our firm and technology and we began discussing a potential application to the CyLon program.”
“Being the only Canadian firm in the 8th cohort is not just a nod to what we’ve done so far as a team but also to New Brunswick’s growing national leadership in cybersecurity,” he added.
CyLon is laser-focused on finding, growing and investing in the world’s best emerging cyber security businesses, supporting them as they expand and scale through its global network.
CyLon has already successfully accelerated 59 companies across London and Singapore since April 2015, and its portfolio of international companies is now valued at more than $343 million. CyLon alumni have created more than 300 new jobs and have raised over $85 million of follow-on funding since graduating the programme.
Founded by leading security, investment and policy experts, CyLon offers entrepreneurs the platform they need to build and grow a successful cyber security company.
